Lousy Season

So far, my fishing has been a test of will and the fish are winning. The fancy new Grant rod hasn't helped much at all. Dry weather and cooler temperatures have combined to make the bite a bit more challenging.

The alternate is target shooting and I've not gone fishing on days the weather didn't look too promising and the lure of cordite was more appealing. The range I use is near a boat landing. Sounds like combo days are in.

Ethanol Production

Ethanol Production Take a look at the favors our elected leaders have done for us. The addition of ethanol adds about $0.13 to the cost of gas, just in time to coincide with a high price spike. Also, for all the "addicted to oil" and "energy independence" we only need about 4.5 gallons of ethanol to replace one gallon of gas ($8/gal fuel cost) and we don't have enough land to grow the corn.

Do they give an IQ test for politicians and if you score to high, you can't be one?
